The hostel "Mirichos" began operating in October 2001 as part of the E.U. Program Leader II. It offers 7 completely-equipped studios each with a separate bathroom, television, refrigerator, central heating and parking space, thus offering all the comforts a visitor wishes while on vacation. It is built at an altitude 900 meters overlooking the village and the river with Mt Askio opposite it. It operates all seasons and because of it's altitude it provides an astonishingly white landscape during the winter and enjoyably cool temperatures during the summer.

The restaurant and cafe-bar are open for the visitors enjoyment providing coffee and drinks by the traditional stone fireplace with Mt. Askio spreading across the horizon and local savories and dishes for breakfast, lunch and supper. Try our specialties: prasotigania(a local dish with pork,leeks and plums), wild mushrooms, delicious pics (made by the hostess herself), petoura (a local type of noodle), all accompanied by fine tsipouro and wine are produced under the care of the owner. |
